FISH SEASON - Pretty well describes itself January to December each year. A nice time to head for Fishermans wharf to pick up some prawns or a fresh spring salmon..perhaps you prefer cod. Have you ever tried salmon fish and chips? Thinking of a fresh salmon steak that might grace the table of a local B&B for breakfast? We grow our own herbs too! The annual Salmon Festival Sockeye Celebration is July 1st. Come just for the halibut."

POKING ABOUT IN THE GARDEN SEASON - Occurs in about February, the winter blues are disappearing and it is time to pamper yourself at one of our local B&Bs
an evening in the hot tub, a glowing fireplace, wonderful hearty breakfasts and the smell of spring in the air. With the first warm rays of sun coming earlier each day, walk off that hearty breakfast on the 80 kilometres of scenic trails that take you through the urban wilderness and along the waters edge. Grab a sweater...pleasant days ahead. February is the month of love and we are waiting. Its quieter now. Not such a bad time of the year to visit after all.

SPRING (this is for real) Visitors from all over the world travel to British Columbia to experience Spring. Come and see the wonderful seasonal flowers and visit the world renowned gardens. This cascade of beauty happens only on the West Coast of Canada British Columbia. April is discovery month new buds on trees, Cherry blossoms emerging. Time to start mowing the lawns (Lulu island is never brown always green, always lush). The B&Bs of Lulu Island are alive in Spring and flowers are adorning the tables. Have you ever been to a Hummingbird Homecoming? Richmond Nature Park has 200 acres of parkland to enjoy. Plant sales, teas
the getting out season. Reservations are now becoming necessary.
SUMMER (we know its Canada but its hot here!) - Warm days sitting in the garden sharing conversation, summer drinks and memories with guests from all over the world. Your breakfast menus can include the areas finest blueberries, raspberries, strawberries...many B&Bs serve them daily or you can pick-your-own. Jams and special treats grace the breakfast menus. Reservations recommended. Picnics at Garry Point, whale watching, visiting the picturesque Village of Seveston.... There are B&Bs in every area of Lulu Island for all reasons and all seasons.

FALL (the red, orange and yellow Season
and we are not talking trees) - The fields are vibrant with the annual Cranberry Harvest red blankets of colour next to Once Upon a Pumpkin orange everywhere but you havent tasted corn until you have picked your own on LuLu Island. Many B&Bs also accommodate those whod like to make Thanksgiving a special outing or surprise for a loved one. Cranberry and pumpkin muffins, cranberry juice.... Bike along the dyke.
HOLIDAY SEASON - It is the time to visit family and share the Holiday season and it is also a special time for the LuLu Island B&Bs. From Thanksgiving in October (in Canada) until the champagne bottle pops the cork on New Years, the B&Bs provide the setting to enjoy the splendour or late fall/early winter. Many B&Bs have all the holiday trimmings and welcome guests at this time of the year. Even the boats on the water are decorated and festive.
WINTER SEASON (we know its Canada but its temperate on the Island) - Lulu Island doesnt have much snow but if you want to play in the snow
do we have skiing.... Whistler and Blackcomb mountains are a picturesque
2 1/2 hours drive away or take the tour bus and enjoy the scenery. Or is this a time of solstice for you, a time to get away and catch up on some reading, take in a play at our local theatre...be sure and come to visit us and check us out.
